How long is the Access & Attend School session?

The Access & Attend School session is 1 hour long. It’s been designed to give parents focused, practical support around EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance) and provide time-efficient strategies you can apply straight away.

Is this just for parents and do I need to prepare anything?

Whilst this is an EBSA for parents session, professionals are also welcomed to the session as it can offer further insights and strategies for consideration, especially if your role involves working with children and families around school attendance. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance for this session but it is recommended you have a pen and paper to hand so you can take down ideas and helpful strategies.

Is it mandatory to have my camera on for this EBSA for parents session?

It’s completely your choice. If you’re comfortable, having your camera on at the start of the EBSA for Parents session can create a warmer, more connected feel - especially for other parents - but there’s no pressure at all.

Do I have to speak during the Access & Attend School session?

You won’t be asked to speak unless you’d like to. This EBSA for Parents session is designed to be supportive and safe. Questions and contributions are welcome, but you’ll never be put on the spot.

Will the EBSA for Parents session be recorded?

No, it won’t. The Access & Attend School session is not recorded to protect your confidentiality and ensure a safe, open space for all parents and professionals attending.

Can I get a certificate after attending the EBSA session?
